A porter employed at Muneshwer’s Limited is currently critical at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation (GPHC)
after he was hit overboard by a container that was being moved at the company’s wharf, Thursday afternoon.
Brian Gordon, 55, is nursing severe head injuries at the hospital’s Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Doctors are in the process of removing some water that seeped into his lungs.
According to his common-law wife, Earla De-Santos, the incident occurred around 14:00 hours when the “electromagnetic crane operator” swung the machine in Gordon’s direction, while a container was attached to it.
Gordon was knocked overboard by the container. He was rescued shortly after by his fellow employees, who rushed him to the hospital for immediate medical attention.
