-Two teams booted from tournament
Sparta Boss made three wins from as many matches to top their Group as play in the Georgetown
Part of the action in the Georgetown Zone of the Guinness ‘Greatest of de Streets’ Futsal Competition.
Zone of the Guinness ‘Greatest of de Streets’ Futsal Competition continued on Thursday evening, at the National Cultural Centre tarmac.
The ‘Bosses’ were in full command in their clash against Costello Housing Scheme, beating them 2-1 to join a number of the pre-tournament favourites who remain unbeaten.
Also winning were former champions Leopold Street, South Ruimveldt, Cross Street, Festival City Street Fighters, North Ruimveldt and Albouystown ‘B’.
The clash between North East La Penitenceand Broad Street Bullies was abandoned after both teams engaged in un-sportsmanlike behaviour which subsequently resulted in their disqualification from the tournament.
The competition continues tomorrow evening at the Demerara Park.
