The East Coast Cricket Board’s (ECCB) Elizabeth Styles 40-over cricket tournament continued recently with hosts

Strathavon Cricket Club beating Perseverance Sports Club by 54 runs in a match reduced to 35 overs due to rain.
In the Upper East Coast Zone clash, Strathavon won the toss and elected to take first strike, reaching 179-5 from their allotted 35 overs. Gobinram Hemraj smashed 79* (8×4 3×6) while Ganesh Sugrim contributed 19.
Bowling for Perseverance Sports Club Derren Duck was the most impressive with figures of 7-0-17-2. Perseverance Sports Club in reply were bowled out for 126 in 31 overs; Denroy Ross made 31 and Allistar Ifill 27. Bowling for Strathavon, Chandrapaul Hemraj took 6-35 and Gobinram Hemraj 2-15.
At the Helena 1-2 Community Centre ground, Bravados Cricket Club got the better of Helena 1-2 Sports Club ‘B’ by 168 runs. Bravados won the toss and batted first in a match reduced to 35 overs due rain and hammered 265-7; Griffith De Roch batting stylishly to contribute 69 (8×4 2×6), Nigel Estrado 56 (6×4 2×6) and Anthony Ifill 42 (5×4 2×6).
Bowling for Helena 1-2 Sports Club Ram Singh had 2-53. Helena 1-2 Sports Club (B) in reply were routed for 97 in 17.4 overs; Mahendra Singh led with 34. For Bravados, Griffith De Roch snatched 4-30 and Earl Gilkes 3-23.
In the Lower East Coast Zone, Ogle (Blue) hammered Plaisance Cricket Club by 146 runs at Ogle Community Centre Ground in another rain affected encounter that was reduced to 20 overs. Ogle (Blue) batting first reached 209-3 with Sewpaul Sanichar stroking 87 while Chris Pattadin supported with 59. Bowling for Plaisance Sam Kemp had 2-33. In reply Plaisance could only muster 64 from 11.4 overs, Denzil Williams making 17. Bowling for Ogle (Blue) Pattadin (3-13) and Devendra Ramtahal (2-6) did the bulk of the damage.
In the other match, Golden Grove Cricket defeated Enterprise Busta Sports Club at the Enterprise Community Centre.
