Christianburg Ground was full of activity last weekend as the Andrew Forsythe T20 Cup semi-final and final were played in Group A.
In the semi-final Christianburg were up against Dora. Taking first strike were Dora and they were all out for 137 in 18 overs with Lawrence Rampersaud once again top scoring with 61. Gregory Klass 17 and Mike Rampersaud 14. Dorin Lowenfield, Hilton Morrison and Ricardo Anderson each did a hat-trick for Christianburg.
In reply Christianburg made 141 for 6 from 16 overs. Top scorer was Theodore Morrison with 82. Lawrence Rampersaud took 2 for 18 from 2 overs, Patrick Cornelius 2 for 24 from 4 overs and Sherwin Henry bagged 2 for 15 from 4 overs.
In the other semi-final played on Sunday at the same venue saw Christianburg and West Watooka battling for the top spot and West Watooka came out the winners. West Watooka took first strike and amassed 115 all out in 19.4 overs with Travis Polius 32, Rickey Gangarham 21 and Seon Prince 12. Nigel Brisport took 2 for 23 from 4 overs and Travis Morrison 2 for 25 in 3.3 overs.
In reply Christianburg were all out for 108 in17.3 overs. Travis Morrison 23 and Nigel Brisport 12. Darren Black bagged 3 wickets for 13 from 3.4 overs and Travis Polius 3 for 15 from 4 overs.
The finals will be played at the Maria Elizabeth Ground on Sunday between Muritaro Young Warriors and West Watooka. (Jacquey Bourne)
