After teaching at Cove and John Secondary School for several years, Zanna Ananza Frank of Victoria Village, East Coast Demerara, decided to pursue a career in law after being motivated by relatives who saw her potential.
The former St. Rose’s High School student and University of Guyana graduate recently had her petition to practice as an attorney locally presented by Attorney-at-Law Lyndon Amsterdam, before Justice Nareshwar Harnanan.
Amsterdam detailed Frank’s academic qualifications and achievements. He said the petitioner attended the Victoria Primary School where she wrote the Secondary School Entrance Examination (SSEE) in 1994, securing a place at the Bladen Hall Multilateral School. After leaving Bladen Hall in 1996, she was transferred to the St. Rose’s High School. She then wrote the Caribbean Examination Council examinations and moved on to teaching at the Cove and John Secondary School.
In 2005 Ms Frank attended the Critchlow Labour College and pursued the Certificate in Industrial and Social Studies. She then attended the University of Guyana and read for a Diploma in Public Management, before pursuing a Bachelor of Law Degree.
Upon completion of her studies at the University of Guyana, the petitioner proceeded to Trinidad and Tobago to commence reading for her Legal Education Certificate at the Hugh Wooding Law School and she was awarded the Legal Education Certificate by the Council of Legal Education.
The mother of one said that she is honoured to be a part of the legal profession, and acknowledged her supportive family and God’s grace since she is the first in her family to be admitted to the bar.
