DEAR EDITOR,
The expletives and threats heard from the voice of Attorney General Anil Nandlall cannot be disputed. Has the PPP no shame in defending this offensive man? He should be dismissed immediately. No other country in world would tolerate such behaviour from one holding such a high office.
The revelations that a vehicle attached to his Ministry was seen circling Kaieteur News with persons taking pictures, only supports the notion of his intimate knowledge of a sinister plot.
The police are also shameless in their actions. Instead of focusing on the revelations disclosed, they are concentrating their investigations on laws that do exist which prevent a person from recording a conversation between two parties talking to each other.
But what can you expect from a Police Force run by Government lackeys.
Can we expect impartiality from such an entity? Obviously not. All the high-ranking officers have remained deafeningly silent during all these revelations, obviously playing it safe.
There is no doubt that the Guyana Police Force is controlled by Rohee and the Government, and the boys will “Rock no Boat” for fear of being deprived of their shiny new cars , house lots, and all the perks that come with being loyal.
Gone are the days when we had senior Police Officers of integrity and a sense of justice
The Guyana Police Force needs to be reformed and overhauled with certain officers being kicked out. Without a shadow of a doubt, the Police and Government are in bed.
Michael Anthony
