Race walkers are asked to don their boots as the executive of the Cavaliers Sports and Tour Club (CS&TC) is set for a month of intense activities in commemoration of Tourism Awareness Month.
Activities get underway with the ECD race walk on Sunday; athletes will start off at the President’s College, Golden Grove ECD, proceed to the Golden Grove Market and then retrace their steps to the place of origin.
On Saturday November 15, the walkers will travel to the city, at CS&TC headquarters, Jennifer Major’s Residence, California Square, East Ruimveldt Housing Scheme, for an exhibition to commemorate Tourism Awareness Month.
Then on Sunday November 16, the walkers convene at the inner circuit of the National Park for a 10K walk. Activities then move to the Mining Town Sunday November 30 when the walkers engage in another 10K race commencing at the Wismar end of the Linden Bridge, onto the Bayroc Recreational Centre, Wisroc for the finish.
The first three finishers in all of the events will receive trophies and medals donated by members of the corporate community.
