Almost four weeks since she ran-away from home, the parents of 15-year-old Alicia Johnson are losing hope. They
have acquired no information leading to her current whereabouts.
Two days after her disappearance, Johnson, of Peter’s Hall, East Bank Demerara, allegedly contacted her mother and told her that she was “okay”, “good wherever she is” and “would not be returning home.”
Her mother, Natasha Aaron, said that the teenager called around 19:30 hours on October 2, from a “Private Number” and did return any calls since.
“We trying all over.and getting no help. Police are not doing anything and people just calling us with wrong info. They keep leading us to the wrong place but we still going because there is always a chance of finding her,” she related.
Her step-father, Garfield Aaron, said that she was last seen by her teachers and classmates in the Dolphin Secondary school compound, after classes had dismissed on the afternoon of Tuesday, September 30.
“Natasha was supposed to catch a bus and come home, but she never did. This situation got us all over place and we are getting no help. We haven’t a clue where she could be,” he said.
Both parents insisted that Johnson has experienced no form of domestic abuse, and found it “unreasonable” that she does not want to return home.
Johnson’s parents are currently seeking the assistance of the public in locating the missing child. Anyone with information on her whereabouts can contact her parents on the following telephone numbers: – 233-5303, 688-3045 or 615-3397.
