Neal & Massy has simplified its name. It is now MASSY. Members of the media and public were at a cocktail reception and presentation last evening at Starlite Square, Montrose, East Coast Demerara for the rebranding ceremony.
R.Basso & Son’s Construction Company Limited was awarded the contract for the construction of this facility, while VIKAB Engineering Consultants Limited was retained as Construction Engineer and Project Management Consultant.
At yesterday’s rebranding, Roy Prasad, Chief Executive Officer of Massy Distribution introduced the new distribution facility to the public. This new facility will provide more warehousing space for the Company’s portfolio of products and will also ensure improved customer service and efficiency.
Prasad said, “The unveiling of the new brand in Guyana coincides with major milestone of the completion of the first ever centralized distribution warehousing facility for the Guyana group.
“This group has had a long history in the marketing and distribution of food and pharmaceuticals and in providing the agricultural community with machinery for our support services and crop protection solutions; this is one of the core businesses of our group and we’re growing.
“The opening of this new facility is a very symbolic move as we chart a new source for ourselves with a new brand. It speaks to the message of cohesion and improves state holding experience with the supplier. These are the qualities synonymous with our new brand.
“This new distribution facility, which is an investment of over US$10 million, demonstrated our confidence of the future of our business and indeed the future of Guyana.”
Massy Group is a conglomerate operating in the majority of the English-speaking countries of the Caribbean —Trinidad, Barbados, St. Lucia, Jamaica, Antigua, and more recently Costa Rica and Guyana. The umbrella company has been in business for more than 85 years.
