Today is the start of action in the Round of 16 in this year’s Courts/Petra Organisation Pee Wee Schools Football Competition which resumes, at the Thirst Park ground.
Defending champion St. Puis, who had to secure a win last week to keep alive their quest to successfully defend their title will collide with Green Acres and they will no doubt be looking to improve their performance, especially with the top contenders chomping at their bit.
Also expected to be in the race for the title is last year’s losing finalist West Ruimveldt, who has entered this phase with an unbeaten rocord, regsitering three wins from as many matches and they face Ketley Pollard.
Tournament favourites Tucville will also be in action at 13:00hrs as they square off against North Georgetown for a quarter-final place and this encounter should be an entertaining one.
Group-F winners Stella Maris will attempt to cement their spot in the next round when they engage crowd favourites Enterprise.
In the other slated fixtures, South Ruimveldt battle St. Stephen’s at 10:00hrs, while former champs Marian Academy oppose St. Angela’s in the second fixture of the day.
At 11:00hrs, East La Penitence and St. Margaret’s collide, while Smith Memorial and F.E. Pollard clash for a place in the next round.
