Physical assessment and practice sessions commence on Monday
Cricket Guyana Inc. has advised that preparation exercises for the 2014/2015 Senior Regional Tournaments will commence on Monday at the Georgetown Cricket Club ground, Bourda. Training activities will first focus on the Physical Fitness assessment of players on October 20-21 from 08:00hrs to 12:00 hrs.
Thereafter players will enjoy two days of rest before engaging in practice activities from October 24–26, 09:00hrs to 13:30 hrs prior to two 4-Day practice matches, October 27-30 and November 4-7, respectively.
Players are reminded that the selectors are authorised to choose players from outside of the selected Franchise 15 should the need arise. As such, while as a general rule the selected Franchise 15 will be given selection priority, failure of a member or members of that select group to meet Players’ Appraisal acceptable standards, will render them invalid for selection.

The measures of analysis for Players’ Appraisal which comprise higher levels of objectivity than subjective tools shall include but are not limited to attendance, activity punctuality, uniformity, self-analysis (strengths & weaknesses), contribution to player analysis (team mates and opponents), individual and teamwork ethics, effective match applicable, compliance to WICB Code of Conduct for Players’ and Officials and the likes.
