A 15-year-old student of the Richard Ishmael Secondary School was stabbed to his lower left abdomen by a classmate yesterday afternoon, reportedly after the two had attended “lessons” conducted by a teacher at a nearby school.
Wounded is Akmaney McKenzie, of 152 D Field Sophia, who was reportedly stabbed with a pair of scissors by his 15-year-old classmate, Neroy Douglas, minutes after their “after school lessons” had ended around 17 :00 hours.
Reports reaching this publication indicated that the incident was witnessed by patrolling police in the area, who rushed McKenzie to the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation and placed the assailant in police custody, at the Brickdam Police Station.
McKenzie’s condition is listed as stable.
