DEAR EDITOR,
Guess what people? Kaieteur News is under a multi-million dollar attack campaign from the Ramotar/Jagdeo regime with full support from the PPP lackey news media, the Guyana Times and the Guyana Chronicle, which have a personal axe to grind against any organization that exposes the financial skullduggery emanating out of Freedom House and the Office of the President.
But this ad blitz from the corrupt PPP cabal avoids the truth and distorts the facts about their true intentions, which is like poison ivy. Their mission is to shut down the leading independent voice of the people that exposes the PPP’s financial mischief, including the raping of the treasury by kleptocrats.
We want all Guyanese to know that Kaieteur News is speaking out for them. Its owner and editor have and continue to work extremely hard on their behalf and the newspaper has become the leading national voice at investigating and highlighting the wanton waste and wholesale theft and corruption that are called public policy today. Theft and squander-mania of the state resources directly rob the poor and the working class of their true benefits from the Treasury.
Because of this patriotic and dedicated work of the Owner and Editor-in-Chief of Kaieteur News, the unpatriotic PPP cabal and their political and business stooges, have filed countless lawsuits against Glenn Lall and Adam Harris. Have no fear Messrs Harris and Lall, the people of Guyana have your back, because of the hard work you have done to expose the corrupt practices of the Jagdeo/Ramotar regime.
So the regime’s incoherent personal attacks, especially from the less-schooled General Secretary at his weekly press conferences, are their weapon of choice. It has to be because the record of Kaieteur News fighting almost alone for the rights of the poor and the working lower-middle classes is very powerful, and has gained national attention from the masses in every corner in Guyana.
What is Kaieteur News’ record? Well Kaieteur News has been fighting the blatant abuse of the treasury by the regime and their corporate giveaways, especially the country’s best lands, properties, the airwaves and tax concessions, to name a few, to their relatives and rich friends not to mention themselves. We all can remember the great work Kaieteur News did in defending Yesu Persaud and Christopher Ram and others as they collectively exposed how the tax laws were being abused and broken by this same PPP regime on the Sanata deal.
If it was not for Kaieteur News, no one would have known that a private citizen is being provided with confidential tax information.
The PPP media outfits, from the Guyana Times to the Guyana Chronicle, have and continue to pass judgement, when the Courts only met for the first time yesterday to read the charges against Glenn Lall? What is good for the goose is good for the gander, so it is time for the PPP-aligned Guyana Times and the Guyana Chronicle to stop peddling falsehoods. History will prove who has deflowered and devoured the Treasury over the last decade, and it is certainly not Glenn Lall or Adam Harris.
Unsurprisingly, the surge in sales for Kaieteur News in Guyana is growing by the day. The intelligence of the Guyanese people must never be questioned or underrated.
