Carib Beer first division T20 cricket action continued recently with D’Edward opening batsman Lakeraj Sookra blasting
85 to steer his team to an easy win over Blairmont Community Centre to seal D’Edward’s place in the last six play-offs, having won both their Zone A (West Berbice) preliminary matches with one to play.
Sookra’s knock, which included 10 fours and 6 sixes, is the highest individual score in the competition so far, eclipsing the 83 made by his teammate Eon Abel against Bush Lot Rising Star the previous week-end.
D’Edward overcame the 142-4 set by Blairmont with 4.1 overs to spare. Following are summarized scores from the matches played:

At Skeldon – Skeldon Community Centre trounced Guytrac Upper Corentyne by 8 wickets.
