Reigning National Junior Road Race champion, Stephano Husbands, who placed
9th overall at the 9th Junior Caribbean Cycling Championships in Suriname over the weekend, left for the Twin Island Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to compete at the 2nd Beacon Insurance Cycling international night cycling at Ariapita Avenue.
Husbands will be joined by fellow Guyanese and Team Coco’s members Raynauth Jeffrey, Hamza Eastman and Christopher Holder.
It is expected that a number of other Team Coco’s members based in the USA and many more in T&T and international riders will grace the event with their presence which will serve as good exposure for the Guyanese riders.
Jeffrey and Eastman have both been selected along with Geron Williams, Alonzo Greaves, Marlon Williams and the lone female, Claire Fraser-Green (National female champion) for the Elite Caribbean Cycling Championships in Puerto Rico this weekend. All the riders were issued with US Visas.
