Sophia defeated Stabroek to take the honours when the Trophy Stall Inter Ward School, 6 overs Tapeball cricket competition concluded Sunday October 5. Sophia batted first and scored 76-6 before restricting Stabroek to 73-4 when their overs ran out. Stabroek representative, Travis Belgrave, was adjudged Player of the Tournament while Megial Parks won the Player of the Finals prize.
Meanwhile, in earlier semi-finals action, Kingston defeated Charlestown Secondary by 14 runs after the winners had taken first strike and amassing 51-4. They then returned to restrict their nemesis to 37-6. Semi final action saw Sophia replicating their earlier performance with a win over Cummingsburg. The latter team took first strike and amassed 61-6 which in the end proved inadequate as Sophia lashed off the required total (64) while conceding 5 wickets.
In the meantime, Stabroek defeated Kingston after the former unit scored 70-4 and the latter replying with 63-7.
