Berbice businessman, Devin Sookraj, on Thursday took the Oath of Office before Region Six Regional Chairman David Armagon at the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) monthly statutory meeting held at the Berbice Regional Health Authority (BHRA) Boardroom at Fort Canje Berbice.
The meeting was held at that location because the RDC boardroom is undergoing repairs.
Sookraj who brings a number of credentials to the RDC was welcomed by the Regional Chairman and councillors from the three political parties PPP/C, APNU and AFC.
Sookraj has been a prominent member in the community and has been a member of the Lions International for a number of years. He also served on a number of local and international committees.
