AFC swears in new councillor in Region Six
The Alliance for Change (AFC) in Region Six yesterday swore in a new regional councilor to its representative body
New AFC Councillor, Devindra Sookraj
in the East Berbice, Corentyne region.
Popular businessman Devindra Sookraj yesterday took the oath of office before Region Six Regional Chairman David Armagon at the Regional Democratic Council (RDC) monthly statutory meeting held at the Berbice Regional Health Authority (BRHA) Boardroom at Fort Canje, Berbice.
The meeting was held at that location because the RDC boardroom is undergoing repairs.
Sookraj was welcomed by the Regional Chairman and councilors of the AFC, A Partnership for National Unity and the People’s Progressive Party.
