Relatives of 18-year-old Karen Michelle Thomas are seeking the assistance of the public to locate her
after she went missing last Saturday.
The Sophia Special School student of Lot 136 South Ruimveldt, Georgetown, was last seen at a counseling session in the area. She was wearing a pair of dark blue pants and sky-blue blouse.
Thomas’s aunt, Pamela Wellington said that her niece left home around 14:00 hrs on September 27, last, to attend her monthly counseling session meant for depressed teenagers but never returned.
The aunt explained that since the teen’s parents passed a few years ago, she started experiencing problems at home and became depressed; hence, she started to attend a counseling session.
“She was normal, so I don’t think she would just up and run away,” Wellington said. She added that she and the teenager had no argument before she left the home.
The aunt said that Thomas had told one of her cousins that she was in a relationship with a young man sometime ago. “I know nothing about this boy…all I know is that she has a boyfriend.”
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of Karen Thomas can contact the nearest police station or call her aunt on telephone number 219-0551, 661-7360.
