Elite Caribbean Cycling Championships selectee, Raynauth ‘Obeah Man’ Jeffrey pedaled to a commanding win in the school boys and invitational 35-lap event when DeSinco Trading held its 14th annual 11-race National Park Cycle Meet Saturday last.
A member of Team Coco’s, Jeffrey turned the tables on teammate and fellow Caribbean selectee Hamza Eastman, who had to settle for third place, behind veteran Robin Persaud, Jeffrey completed the 35 laps in One Hour 16 Minutes 20 Seconds.
The multitalented Eastman, who is also a national Judoka, rode away with seven of the eight sprint prizes, the other went to Persaud. Copping the third to sixth places in the feature contest were Enzo Matthews, Mario King and Paul Choo-Wee-Nam.
Winners of other races on the day were female Toshawanna Doris, veterans Linden Blackman, Jaikarran Sukhai and Monty Parris. Jamal John (mountain bike), Adrian Sharma, Jeremiah Harrison and Sherwin Sampson in the BMX categories.
Sponsor, DeSinco Trading was represented at the presentation by Human Resource Officer Gemma Williams, Director of the Company Alicia DeAbreu and Marketing Manager Sarah Savory.
