Bartica Lions Club in collaboration with the Region Seven Department of Education hosted the Annual Spelling Bee Competition for Grade Six children to mark Education Month. The venue was Leanna’s Kiddies Park, Fifth Avenue, Bartica.
The participating Primary Schools were St John the Baptist, St Anthony’s, Two Miles, Holy Name, Kartabu, Itaballi and Karru. There were three participants from each school. In the final round were Holy Name and Two Miles Primary Schools.
The winner of the competition was Two Miles Primary School but the second Best Speller, Daniel Edwards, and Best Speller Jameila Pollard came from Holy Name Primary School.
Congratulations to Two Miles Primary School for being Bartica Lions Club 2014 Spelling bee champs.
