Thousands anticipate to see Score’s Even back in action

The day has finally arrived and thousands are expected to swarm the Alness Turf Club today for the Banks DIH Limited, Alness Turf Club grand one day horserace meet slated for the club’s Racetrack, Alness Corentyne, Berbice.
According to information, fans cannot wait to see Guyana Top Race horse Score’s Even, back in action. The Kentucky bred animal from the Simple Royal Stable has been in devastating form and boasts an impressive record since its arrival in Guyana with some 11 wins, five second and one third from 19 starts and will definitely be looking to add to that when it gets into the starting box today.
The feature Banks DIH Limited ‘A’ class and lower 1600M event has an encouraging winning take of $1M from a total package of $2M and the Banks DIH Limited trophy. Among those looking to upset Score’s Even are Church House, Dark and Lovely, Run Nana Run, Bridal Stone Corner, Young Elite, Set for Fame and California Strike.
Meanwhile, a number of additional sponsors have been added to the list of those being associated with the race meet including Hand in Hand Insurance, Ganesh Singh Engineering Services of No 6 WCB, Lancelot business of Georgetown and Poonai’s Pharmacy. They will join Beverage giants Banks DIH Limited, Guyana Tourism Authority, Nand Persaud and Sons Group of Companies, Mohammed ‘Nanko’ Shariff Business Enterprise and Racing Stable, Fazal Habibulla, Attorney at Law Ryan Crawford, J. Ashrafally (Papie) Supermarket, Dennis DeRoop’s Simple Royal Stable, Choke Gas Station, Kanhai Electrical Agency, R. Matadial, Randolph Richmond and Family and Businessman and horserace Commentator Campton Sancho among others.
The full list of events and animals will see the likes of Swing Easy, Bridal Stone Corner, Settle In Seattle, Weekend Surprise, Top Of The line and Marathon Man go for the winning prize in the F and lower 1200M event for a winning purse of $350,000 and trophy.
The likes of Shooting Star, Secret Circle, Silent Night, Sent From Above, Marathon man, Prince Paige, Weekend Surprise are among the star studded field lined up in the G3 and lower event over 1400M for the winning take of $275,000 and trophy.
The ‘I’ and lower1200M event has such animals like Mary Ann, Affinity, Smarty Light, Royal Cash, Dance For Gold, Lady Secret, The Road Is Mine, Miss Messiah and Famous Pride among them competing for a purse of $200,000 and trophy.
The ‘J1’ and lower 1000M event for the winning pocket of $170,000 and trophy has a full box that comprise of Prince Bayaya, Wicket Revenge, Royal Cash, Cart Man, Red Steel, Iron Man, Red Jet, Lady Secret, Smarty Light, The Road Is Mine, Slim Shady, Famous Pride and Dance for Gold among others.
The race for animals classified J3 and lower has a full compliment of horses lined up to compete for the winners money of $140,000 and trophy over 1100M. The K and lower event will fetch a winning prize of $90,000 and trophy over 1000M. Animals such as Iron man, Prince Bayaya, Speed Vision, Wicked Revenge, it’s My Time, Quincy, cart Man, Gangster, Journey, Go Zapper, Windy Killer, Princess Stallion, Royal Intention, Flying Colours, Fit To Fight, Lucky Star, Sophia’s Choice, Brown Boy and Triple S are among them.
There is an event for unclassified animals over 4 furlongs with Sweet Man, Fit To Fight, Flying Colours, Sofia’s Choice, Flying Private and Brown Boy among the entrants in this event.
Outstanding individual performers including top Jockey, trainer and stable will be presented with trophies and other incentives compliments of the organizers.
