Kairuni advance to final in Linden Softball League Inter Community C/ship

Bad Boys, the only Linden team left in the competition were sent packing by Kairuni Rising Star in their semi-final in the Linden Softball League Inter Community Championship played at the Bayroc Community Centre Ground.
Batting first, Bad Boys posted 117-9 in their allotted 12 overs. Leon Moseley top scored with 26, K. Chan 19 and W. Simon 18. Delvin Walton took 2-17 and Merryl Bharrat 2-21 in 3 overs each for Kaituni.
In reply Kairuni Rising Star eased to 120-5 off 11.1 overs; Ron Williams was the star with the bat scoring 34, Clint Patoir 28 and Terrence Williams 25. Dodie Bridgelall had 2-14 for the losers. The finals will be played at the same venue on October 5 next.
Kairuni Rising Stars will play Hill Foot Vipers for the male crown, while All Stars Conquerors from Linden will do battle with Wairuni Conquerors for the female title. (Jacquey Bourne)
