Guyanese Priyanna Ramdhani and Hemraj Beharry turned in commendable

performances to win their respective categories when the Banks DIH Guyana International Badminton Classic concluded on Sunday last at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall.
Ramdhani won six golds with victories in the girls’ Under-13 and 15 singles, doubles and mix doubles, while Beharry was the triple winner in the boys Under-15 singles, doubles and mix doubles events.
Siya Persaud of Guyana and Eros Pierpont of Suriname were given special prizes for being the most improved players, while Amelia Balram (Guyana) and Miracle Abdillah (Suriname) received sports personality awards.
The Guyanese won fourteen gold and 11 silver over-all.
