Cargail DeFreitas and Mark Welch turned in commendable performances to guide Rage to victory in the final of the William Sargeant Dominoes competition on Sunday night last at Faye Joseph residence Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt.
DeFreitas marked 17 and Welch 16 games as Rage edged TNT on sixes after they had tied on 78 games. Sonia Goodluck scored 16 and Trevor Smith 14 for TNT, while Mix Up placed third on 62 games with Gilbert Mendonca and Colin Thomas making 16 games each.
Rage won the semifinal encounter contested earlier with 80 games. TNT placed second on 74 and Thunder third on 61. Ronald Beharry and DeFreitas made 17 each for Rage while Goodluck registered 16 and Smith 15 for TNT. Gillian Hyman top scored for Thunder with 16 games while Faye Joseph contributed 16.
Rage took home a trophy and $60,000 and TNT $30,000.
