Police yesterday destroyed two acres of marijuana during a raid in the Soesdyke/Linden Highway area.
According to the police, the raid took place at Kairuni, an area along the highway.
A field of about two acres in size was found with approximately 10,000 cannabis sativa (marijuana) plants. The plants were about one foot in height.
Ranks also found a nursery with seedlings and an abandoned camp. They were all destroyed.
Two men were arrested and are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
