Williams cops Lezo Import and Online Shopping cycle race
Marlon ‘Fishy’ Williams overpowered Michael Anthony to capture the Lezo Import and Online Shopping 30-lap cycle race yesterday at inner Circuit of the National Park.

Williams clocked 1 hour 04 minutes and 42 seconds to cross the finish line just ahead of Michael Anthony. Alonzo Greaves placed third, Godfrey Pollydore fourth, Raynauth Jeffery fifth and Mario King sixth.
The race, which attracted 33 starters, was led by Jeffery early on, but he was strongly followed by Williams, Anthony, Greaves, King and Pollydore.
Williams and Anthony made their presence felt from as early as lap six, and their efforts were hardly match as they separated themselves from the bunch in scorching heat.
The duo shared the remaining primes and the fans were eagerly waiting to see the closing stages which was ridden at an awesome pace from the start by some of the nation’s leading cyclists.
Williams and Anthony began the final lap some distance from the bunch and rode shoulder to shoulder, but it was Williams who edged his rival by the slimmest of margins at the finish line.
Williams grabbed 14 primes, Anthony 13 and Jeffery two. The first sixth finishers were rewarded.
