The Enterprise Youth Development-Group embarked on yet another initiative dubbed “Care Nani and Nana”.
The Project catered for over 25 elderly folks from Enterprise, East Coast Demarara and neighbouring villages, who are bedridden and unable to move around.
The youths of the Enterprise Youth Development Group took to the street in numbers with wheelbarrows and bags filled with pampers and beddings to happily give to the elderly folk.
“When we speak about our history, we must not just sit and remember and talk about it, but we must give back to those who were incremental in developing our community to the way it is today,” said one of the organizers.
The youths received warm welcome from the relatives of each elderly person they visited, and the recipients were very thankful for the donations, especially the pampers, which have been proving very costly.
The Enterprise Youth Development Group and the senior citizens who were recipients of the donations expressed a heartfelt thank you to those persons who provided financial assistance towards the project especially Angdeshwar Rickheeram (Uncle Harold), who resides overseas.
