Dear Editor,
The APNU and AFC have to go into any talks on a Government of National Unity with eyes wide open, because on this issue the PPP has a record which does not lend much credibility to this process.
Guyanese National Unity talks can’t be open-ended and fundamental matters to be addressed have to be constitutional change to embed inclusive governance in Guyana; Presidential assent to bills passed by the Guyanese Parliament since 2012; and a credible schedule for local government elections to be held as soon as possible.
