Bangladesh closed the opening day of the three-day warm up match against St. Kitts and Nevis at 330-6 after deciding to bat at Warner Park. Mushfiqur Rahim fashioned an unbeaten 82 while Nasir Hossain stroked 78 not out.
The pair came together with the score at 186-6 and so far added 144 for the seventh wicket. Rahim slammed five fours and three sixes off 126 balls while Hossain, who has so far faced 122 balls, reached the boundary three times and cleared it twice.
Quinton Boatswain provided the breakthrough for the host when he had Shamsur Rahaman caught by wicketkeeper Jaleel Clarke for 10 with the score on 22 in the fourth over. Jeremiah Louis sent back Tamin Iqbal (20) before Imrul Kayes fell to Boatswain for 44 with four fours. Bangladesh then lost the wickets of Monimul Haque (10) and Mohammad Mahmudullah (27) to be reduced to 138-5.
Shuvagata Hom hit 8 fours before he was dismissed for 48 off 87 balls with the score at 186, but Rahim and Hossain carried their team to the close with level headed batting. Quinton Boatswain has so far taken 2-35 and Jeremiah Louis 2-36.
