Mix Up totaled 46 games to win the Mark Wiltshire four-game Dominoes competition played recently at Whitie Bar Best Road, Vreed-en-Hoop. R and R placed second with 42 games followed by Brothers on 35.
Colin Thomas and Mark Wiltshire marked 12 each for the winners while Frederick Fortune made 11 for the runner-up team. The leading players for Brothers, who drew the bye to the final, were Colin Whitie and Ganesh Sampson with 11 and 10 games, respectively.
Mix Up won the semi final encounter with 45 games ahead of TNT on 42 and R and R, 41. Wiltshire made 11 and Gordon Stevens 10 for Mix Up while Sonia Goodluck chalked up 12 for TNT and Orin Favourite 12 for R and R.
Meanwhile, President of the Georgetown Dominoes Association Faye Joseph will be hosting a competition tonight at her residence, Gaulding Place, South Ruimveldt in honour of the Guyana Men’s team that won the World Council Dominoes tournament held recently in Barbados. Action gets underway at 14:00hrs and entrance fee is $9,000. The winning team will take home a trophy and $150,000.
