Heavy rain and high winds intervened at 8:17pm when Dawyne Bravo was on his way to deliver to Tamim Iqbal with 4.4 overs already bowled with Bangladesh on 31-0.

Iqbal pulled away at the very last moment as Bravo was about to deliver since the wind was picking up quite a bit, that was followed by sudden heavy rain which effectively ended the match.
Ground staff had a difficult time in bring the covers on to the pitch which resulted in the main playing area being exposed to the elements above more than usual. During eth long delay, the lights went out on three occasions which added to the frustration of all.
The match officials, after inspecting eth pitch at 10:35pm and a long discussion decided to call off the match.
Anamul Haque was on 19 from 19 balls (1×4 1×6) and Iqbal on 11 from 9 balls (1×4). With the no result, the T20 series will be shared by the two teams. Bangladesh have managed to get a hand on the trophy without winning, which will provide some semblance of comfort after the kind of run they have had in the limited-overs format of late.
Both teams now go away to make preparations for the upcoming Test series, which begins on September 5 in St Kitts.
