Table toppers Grove Hi Tech will be seeking to further consolidate their position at the top when they take on Diamond United in the feature game of a double header when the Stag Beer sponsored East Bank Football Association (EBFA) division one league continues tomorrow at the Grove Playfield.
Joint leading marksman, Domini Garnett (10) who is also Captain of the Grove team will be at the helm yet again for his side as they look to garner full points in their quest to win the first place prize of $300,000.
Diamond can be a handful and must not be taken for granted but given the consistent form that the home team has been displaying in this second half of the league, Diamond would be in for a torrid time.
The stats table below will tell the story in terms of the level of effectiveness of both sides in the attacking and defensive third.
Opening action tomorrow at 13:30hrs will see Agricola Red Triangle and Timehri facing off in what is anticipated to be a humdinger of a clash. Both sides have played 9 games apiece but Timehri enjoy a slim one point advantage.
Both Agricola and Timehri have also displayed a tendency to attack while being solid in defense; Agricola will be unleashing joint top scorer Gordon Grant (10) on the Timehri defence but the Timehri boys will have in their lineup, Collis Messiah who has scored 5 goals to date.
Points are there for the taking so it will all boil down to who is the hungrier of the teams. Fans are in for a treat.
