Quincy ‘Biggie’ Small is the latest addition to the local amateur boxing ranks. Small, who was born in Guyana but lives in the USA, is the younger brother of former World cruiserweight champion Wayne ‘Big Truck’ Braithwaite.
Yesterday in New York the towering 6 foot 4 inches, 255 pound super heavyweight wonder met with President of the Guyana Boxing Association (GBA) Steve Ninvalle to iron out issues relating to him representing Guyana. Promoter and staunch supporter of boxing in Guyana, US-based Seon Bristol was also present at the meeting between Small and Ninvalle.
Ninvalle was heartened after meeting the young giant and noted this move augurs well for the sport in Guyana.
