The Boyce & Jefford Track and Field Committee on Sunday made a financial donation
Chairman of the Boyce & Jefford Track and Field Committee, Colin Boyce makes the donation to Caribbean middle distance queen, Cassey George.
to Cassey George following the conclusion of the Fifth Edition of their Track and Field Classic, which was held at the Mackenzie Sports Club Ground, Linden.
The Organisers of the athletics meet started an impromptu fund for the athlete by making the first contribution and lobbied patrons at the event to continue to contribute. At the end of the event all proceeds raised where handed over to George.
George is a multiple CARIFTA Games champion and medallist and perhaps the most decorated Guyanese middle distance runner at the moment. It has become a tradition of the Boyce & Jefford Classic to give back to an area of choice following the meet.
