The telephone directory is a useful tool in this modern era where time and money share the same importance. With this in mind, the Guyana Telephone and Telegraph Company (GT&T) has tailored a miniature directory for persons on the go.
Since 2012, customers of GT&T and the public at large have been awaiting the arrival of a new edition of the telephone directory, which features landline telephone numbers for residential and commercial entities.
Lisa Insanally, Creative Director of Guyenterprise, the company responsible for printing the directories, related that GT&T will be presenting two types of directories to the public this September.
According to Insanally, Guyenterprise is excited about the introduction of the miniature directory, since it is a new feature. The mini-directory comprises the blue pages featuring contact information for government ministries, agencies and embassies; information pages on Guyana and the yellow pages comprising contact information for businesses.
Insanally said the mini-directory was created with the business community and tourists in mind. Providing an example she said, “A tourist staying at a hotel would most likely need information on restaurants, tourist destinations and entertainment spots and not that of residences. As such, the mini-directory would be more useful.”
However, a larger number of the regular-size telephone directories would be in circulation. This directory would include all the features of the mini-directory and residential contact information. A comprehensive write-up on GT&T’s mobile money would be included. Insanally assured that this would be an interesting read for the customers since mobile money is a new feature of the company.
