DCB congratulates Lloyd

The Demerara Cricket Club has extended congratulations to Clive Lloyd on his appointment as chairman of the West Indies selection panel.
“It is with a feeling of unbridled joy that the President, Executive and Members of the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) expressed their heartfelt congratulation to the legend Clive Lloyd on his preferment as Chairman of the selection Panel of the West Indies Cricket Board”, a release from the club stated.
“It cannot be denied that this appointment is but a fitting tribute for the sterling leadership and contribution he has unquestionably made to the advancement and world-wide recognition of West Indies Cricket.
For our part, it is all the more gratifying when one considers that the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) was the foundation of his Cricketing nurture and as fellow members of his “alma mater” we feel a distinct sense of pride and achievement of one of its protégés.
Indeed he has set the standard others will seek to achieve and his presence will be a beacon to light the way forward.
Well done ‘Super cat’ you continue to make DCC and all Guyana proud.”
