Thanks to a public-spirited Guyanese national who resides in Grenada, in collaboration with the Mark Benschop Foundation, two outstanding students from the village of Bare Roots, Paradise on the East coast of Demerara are now the proud owners of brand new bicycles.
The two students are Teneassa Francis who will be attending Annandale Secondary and Samantha Beveney secured a place at the Bishops’ High School.
The Grenadian based Guyanese had donated cash to the students after reading of their performances at this year’s National Grade Six Assessment Examination.
His cash donation was made through the Benschop Foundation which procured much needed school supplies and threw in the two bicycles for good measure.
