Dear Sir,
I’m very disappointed with the government as well as the GPL personnel for making a town like Bartica having blackouts. This is very unbearable. My family was there for two weeks and with the heat we couldn’t even use an air-conditioning unit because there is no power to run it.
My wife who is an American doesn’t want to come back to Guyana because she was so uncomfortable. We spent US$4000 for this trip and it was a bust.
I love Guyana; my heart belongs in Bartica. I remember in the 70’s Bartica had two great generators, and never knew about blackout. The government removed them and replaced them with two pieces of crap that have been giving a lot of problems since then. It is time for two new generators.
