Twenty three kings will be joined by fourteen queens and vie for top honours when the Ministry of Home Affairs 2014 Emancipation King and Queens Domino Competition gets underway in the compound of the subject Ministry, Brickdam Stabroek, August 4-8 next.
The players will be drawn from several departments including accounts, information technology, administration, immigration, general registrar’s office, the driver’s pool and the stray catching unit. The competitors will compete for beautiful trophies and medals donated by Nazeem Mohamed and Nafico Nalico.
Yesterday afternoon, the principals of the tournament convened at the playing venue for the official launching and coordinator, Ovid Glasgow expressed profound gratitude to the individual and company that acquiesced to support the tournament. He wished the participants good luck even as he envisaged a keenly contested tournament.
