CP Got Even of The Poonai Stable, trained by Colin Elcock and Ridden by Rad Drepaul, choose the right time to come good as it scored its first victory. The animal won the feature D1 and Lower Mile event when the Port Mourant Turf Club held a grand one day meet yesterday at their Port Mourant racetrack.
CP Got Even with Rad Drepaul onboard wins from Jack in my Style in the feature D1 and lower event at Port Mourant yesterday.
The horse was in the running early, challenging the front runners and surged to the front down the homestretch to hold off a fast finishing Jack In My Style, with Red and Lovely and Goodwill Boy rounding out the money. The win was worth a sumptuous $1M; compliments of Banks DIH.
Other winners on the day were in the J1 and Lower event, the winner was The Road is mine.
Race 2 which was for E3 and Lower horses, was won by Right to Rule; the Two-Year Old Guyana and West Indian Bred even was taken by Storm Bird.
The G1 and Lower even saw Another Jet winning, while the Three-Year Old Guyana and West Indian bred event was taken by Quiet Dancer.
Race seven which saw two sets of horses racing resulted in I Get Another winning the I class category with Wheel Barrow taking the K class event. (Samuel Whyte)
