After defeating Red Steel in their first game on home soil on Thursday last, an upbeat Guyana Amazon Warriors team with two wins in as many matches will take on St. Lucia Zouks from 16:00 hrs today as the Limacol Caribbean Premier League (LCPL) continues at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence.

A full house is expected to grace Providence as the Warriors will look to register their third victory in a row. While the Warriors bowlers have done a commendable job thus far, their batting has much more to do to compliment them. Led by the number one bowler in the shortest form of the game, Sunil Narine, and with support Left arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul, Mohamed Hafeez, Krishmar Santokie and James Neesham the Warriors have the variation required to limit opponents as they have done in their previous games, and the Providence pitch is once again expected to render assistance to the slower bowlers.
However, their batting will have to improve. Lendl Simmons and Christopher Barnwell showed glimpses of their class against the Red Steel, but the Warriors will depend on Simmons and Martin Guptill who must resurrect the form he had in the first edition of the tournament to give them a bright start.
Neesham is in fine form, but Mohammad Hafeez must be careful with his shot selection; the key to Guptill and Hafeez will be to acclimatise as quickly as possible.
Zouks are a dangerous opponent and should not be taken lightly. After loosing their opening game to the Tallawahs, they will look to redeem themselves and a victory here will boost them tremendously. They certainly are not short of experience with likes of Brad Hodge, Sohail Tanvir and Roelofven Der Merwe in their line up. Johnson Charles, skipper Darren Sammy and Andre Fletcher are powerful hitters and the Guyanese fans can be in for a treat if they get going, however it will be interesting to see how they handle Narine and company at Providence. Tanvir, Tino Best, Sammy, Hodge and Shane Shillingford will take care of the bowling department. Another exciting contest is anticipated.
