National Under-15 cricketer Colin Barlow, a member of the Transport Sports Club, has received a timely boost of a bat and pair of batting gloves compliments of DeSinco Trading.
Yesterday at the entity’s Sheriff and John Streets Campbellville Store, Human Resource Officer Gemma Williams presented the equipment to Barlow as she wished him well on behalf of the company as part of the Guyana team for the Regional Under-15 Tournament set for Jamaica from July 22.

Managing Director and Owner of DeSinco Trading, Frank DeAbreu said that he was very happy for Barlow who is also a resident of Campbellville and this contribution is a way of congratulating him and at the same time encouraging him to do well.
Williams also wished Barlow well and encouraged him to make discipline his watch word which would set the foundation for a successful career.
DeSinco Trading has over the years been very supportive of sportsmen and women in Guyana and has been investing in many disciplines. Williams said they would continue to play their part since sports builds a nation.
The Guyana team is expected to leave on July 18 with their first game set for next Tuesday against Leewards at the Melbourne Club ground. Defending champions Trinidad and Tobago will open against the Windward Islands, while hosts Jamaica face Barbados.
This year, the Regional Under-15 Tournament – in its 19th season – will be contested under a round-robin format, featuring five rounds of 50 overs-a-side matches with the team accumulating the most points being declared champions.
