Dear Editor,
The entire Vanessa Kissoon suspension episode reinforces the view that young people hardly stand a chance in leadership positions in the established “old boys club” political parties. While I don’t have all the facts surrounding Ms. Kissoon’s suspension, I’m not surprised that she was suspending pending the outcome of the investigation while the other party to the dispute has not been sanctioned.
Mr. Editor this is symptomatic of the way young people are perceived and treated in all the current political parties. Seen more as window dressing than actual substantive contributors to their party’s leadership and success.
I sincerely hope that this matter is resolved swiftly and justice prevails.
