In the first round, Campbell made light work of Pamela Hope 6-0 to set up a semi-final with Fiona Bushell, who got pass Tandy Primo 6-2.
Campbell won her semi-final 6-1 to challenge last year’s novice competitor, Denise Barrington in the final. Campbell took the first game then lost consecutive games to Barrington in a match that had consistent rallying from both players.
After being down, Campbell took the next five points to win the GBTI Women’s Novice title 6-2.
