Dear Editor,
We refer to letter titled “An open letter to Chris Ram” which was published in your 2014 and signed by Messrs. Ronald and Rustum Bulkan. A copy of the said letter, which was dated May 29, 2014, was received and was followed by a second letter dated June 20, 2014.
We attempted to hand deliver our response to 35 Industrial Estate, Ruimveidt, stated on their letter, but were advised that the parties were no longer at that location. We then dispatched the response by post.
In our response we advised the writers that auditors are not authorised to engage customers of clients except in the course of the audit or if authorised by the client. We also suggested that the writers take the matter up with the Bank or seek legal advice.
We would appreciate if you could publish this response.
Christopher Ram
