Sales Director of STAR Micronics, Javier Vento, covers the Region of South America, Central America and the Caribbean. Javier holds a Degree in marketing, and has over 16 years experience in the Point of Sales business.
President of Starr Computers, Michael Mohan, said that the Japanese company, Star Micronics, is one of the world’s largest printer manufacturers has designed a portfolio of thermal, portable and multifunction printers for use in a wide variety of applications.
Mohan explained that Star Micronics’ experience and understanding of market trends, has led to a broad range of innovative receipt printers, POS (point of sale) printers and mobile printer products developed with one key objective – provide an easy integration into existing POS software and systems, resulting in the ultimate customer experience across markets.
“Star Micronics has not only developed printers which offer high performance and reliability, but introduced a number of unique profit-making features for the user without extra cost or extensive IT knowledge required.” Mr Mohan explained.
Mohan further emphasised that in 1990 the first printer ever sold by STARR Computers is a Star Micronics wide carriage printer. “To date all POS printers sold with a STARR Computer Point of Sale solution has been a Star Micronics receipt printer. Today, there are literally thousands of STAR receipt printers used in Guyana and tens of millions around the world…Over the past two decades STARR maintained its relationship with the brand due to the fact the printers are robust, durable and highly reliable. Another important factor is the excellent after sale support.”
Starr Computers POS hardware includes a computer, printer, barcode scanner, cash drawer, display pole, and a host of other modern peripherals. Software solutions range from retail management, membership, hospitality amongst others.
