Dear Editor,
Please allow me, through this medium of your letter columns to support the thinking of the Alliance for Change on the moving of a no confidence motion against the Ramotar Government.
Editor, for too long this PPP government has been acting as if there are above the laws of Guyana and has disrespected the Opposition in every way.
Bills passed by the Opposition are not assented to by the President and not too long ago when the Motion was passed to reduce the Berbice River Bridge toll, we heard Minister Benn in full view and hearing of the public saying in the National Assembly that the government will not reduce the toll.
Is this not a clear disrespect to the people of Guyana who voted in the one seat majority opposition?
And if all may now take a walk over to City Hall, look at the disrespect being displayed to the elected Mayor and Councillors of the City by the PPP Government appointed Town Clerk.
Sir, in view of the above, I now call on the Opposition Leader Mr. David Granger and his Partnership for National Unity to support any such motion.
