According to Prosecutor, Sergeant Godfrey Playter, on the day in question, the men were imbibing in front of the Lim Kung Restaurant on Main Street, New Amsterdam when an argument broke out between the groups of men.
It is alleged by Crandon that he and some friends had returned from the Number 63 Beach and were in front of the restaurant when he was stabbed on the left of his neck and robbed of a bag valued $4,000 and which contained $8,000 in cash. He was rushed to the hospital where he spent three days.

An altercation ensued and he tried to intervene when Candon struck him on his head with a bottle. He in turn retaliated and struck the accused with another bottle.
He was placed on $100,000 bail and will have to return to court on August 4.
