The Berbice Volleyball Association (BVA) with sponsorship from Mr. Ramesh Sunich of The Trophy Stall will be holding the 4th Annual Trophy Stall Volleyball Competition on Sunday at the Port Mourant Training Centre Hardcourt, starting at 10:00hrs.
A number of top teams from Berbice are expected to participate in the one day competition and among them are:- PMTC 1, PMTC 2, Port Mourant Jaguars, 3 Door Strikers of D’Edward, Rollers of New Amsterdam, Falcons of East Canje, Albion Sports Complex and Jets of Skeldon.

This year the competition will be bigger than before as the BVA has invited teams from the Demerara Volleyball Association (DVA) to participate in the competition.
So far two of the top teams from the DVA in Achievers and the GDF have indicated that they will a part of the competition. While a female team from Demerara is also expected to participate.
The first, second and third place winners in the male category will receive trophies as will the first and second place winners in the female category. Among the individual prizes up for grabs in both categories are –MVP, they will receive trophies. While medals will be at stake for best setter, best spiker, best blocker, best server, best defence and best libero, again in both categories.
The BVA is expected to use the occasion to select a squad to go into training to represent Berbice in Inter-Association competition slated to be played shortly.
The event is expected to be graced with the presence of the President of the Guyana Volleyball Federation, Mr. John Flores.
The BVA wishes to thank the sponsor Mr. Ramesh Sunich for his unwavering support in assisting to promote and develop Volleyball in Berbice and Guyana as a whole.
All teams are urged to be punctual for the Opening Ceremony.
